I know from experience that will power is very powerful
and can help us all on our journey to weight loss.
When it comes to
food, one needs even more will power to say "no" to a second helping of
something that is very very delicious like pasta. As I said on my home page that
quitting smoking was hard. I needed will power to succeed. With the help of
patches I was able to quit. I
have not used a diet patch which are available, as are pills, power bars,
shakes, etc. all to suppress ones appetite, speed up ones metabolism and
to enhance energy. Even with all these to help one to lose weight one still needs
will power to stick with their will to lose weight.
It also helps
if one has someone to talk to when their will power is low, and needs to be
recharged so to speak. It helps to have a weight loss buddy to lose weight
with, for moral support, who will be there should they be
tempted to fall off the wagon.
Then there is
also the one I mentioned on the home page which to me is not a diet,
nothing is banned from eating as long as one eats only until one is
satisfied.
Even that one
is hard at times especially for me if I have pasta. Pasta for me is soul
food and I find it hard to stop when I am satisfied.
Telling myself
that it will not run away, that it will be in the fridge for me when I am
hungry again, helps. That's when I need an extra supply of will power to
tell me. Needless to say I do not make pasta very often now, for that very
reason.
Ah! the joys of
losing weight and being slim again! Thousands of people have been overweight and lost a great amount of pounds
- that gives me the will and
incentive to do it too.
